About Me.

Welcome to Cochrane Sports Therapy.

I'm Billy and this is my sports therapy clinic. By day, I am a qualified PE teacher and have been teaching locally for the last 20 years. Through the courses I teach, I have ensured that my knowledge of sports injuries and treatment methods has been kept up to date and I have used this to gain additional qualifications in sports massage, deep tissue massage, cupping and kinesio taping so that I can help others to recover, rejuvenate and perform at their best.

For a little bit of fun, I run. My favourite events are ultramarathons and the longer and more enduring, the better! I have experienced the benefit of regular sports massages to help maintain the condition of my body and reduce the risk of injury whilst training for endurance events such as Ironman UK and the Race Across Scotland.

My focus is to use my experience to help you to be in the best physical condition possible so that you can gain the most from your training and ultimately, perform at your best when race day comes.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

All the best,

Billy

Paul T, Herne Bay

“I went to Billy with a knee injury that had been holding me back. He listened, explained everything, and the massage eased the pain and improved my movement."

 James M, Herne Bay

"Billy is my go to sports massage therapist, being an ultra runner who more than onve has run across Scotland and recently Ironman triathlete himself he really understands what the body goes through for big events.
I always leave feeling epic and can always ask any advice while I'm there".

Lola S, Thanet

"I had a sports massage recently, and it was exactly what I needed. Billy was really professional and focused exactly where I needed it most.

He worked out all the tension in my muscles and explained what was causing the tightness, which was really helpful. I felt so much lighter after and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who trains a lot or just needs proper muscle recovery."

Fundraising Challenge

In August 2026, I will be raising money for Prostate Cancer UK and for the Motor Neurone Disease Association by taking on an epic ultramarathon challenge.

I will be attempting to complete the Scottish National Trail, a 537 mile / 864 kilometer trail from Cape Wrath on the north coast of Scotland to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders. I will be aiming to complete the route in 7 days and to set a new record!
